April 25, 2016

Hola! How is everyone doing? Thank you somuch for your love and support as always i feel your prayers and am strengthend because of them!

This week was really awesome! President closed down the other sector in our ward and gave the whole ward to us! That means our sector is HUGE and there is alot of work to be done! Lets just say im one happy misionary :)

I will be staying in Callao for at least another transfer! That means 6 months in soddom and gumora but im up for the challenge! :)

So sort of a miracle happend this week :) We were knocking doors and and an old man of about 75 years came out without any pants on. we just kept talking to him and he told us he wanted us to come in after he puts his pants on haha he also told us he is a jehovas witness and has been wanting to "talk" with us for a while. I got alittle nervous because JW's are known down here for arguing a ton and having a ton of knowledge of the bible! I prayed hoping that he was recently baptized and wasnt going to try and burn us but as we walk into his house i see a super huge bookshelf filled with books about the JW's i cringed and asked how much time he has int hat church and he said 24 years. I thought in my head," He is gonna burn us SOOOO hard" haha but i geard up ready to go to a spiritual battle, we taught him and then he said, "now its my turn." Right when he said that a knock came at the door and it was one of his old friends. THe man then told us we will have to coninue our "Lesson" another day. We still havent returned b8ut wish us luck when we do!

Also i wanted to let you know about to of our recent converts here!

You will all remember Brayhan Farfan, well he is now the sectretary of the Young Men and assisitng institute every week! He reads a ton every night of the BOM with his younger brother Luiggi. Luiggi was baptized about a month ago and has already made the decision to serve a mission! His mom supports him but his dad is totally against it, he let us know that whatever happens he will serve!! He is the 1st counciler in the priest qurom and indexer of the ward here! Thank you for your prayers for them!

Also last night we had a mission wide reunion of all the recent converst of the last 2 years about the temple, when we got there i looked up and say my old ward here! With them was Ximena my first convert! The spirit filled my with so much joy and peace! I LOVE THE MISSION!

well thank you all so much! I love you all a ton!!!!!

Dad,
Thanks so much dad!!! Im very glad to hear that the family is doing really well! I honestly love you guys so much and allways look to your examples for motivation! i LOVE the Allens! They are so nice, really the whole ward is nice, how many years do you have as bishop now? Do you think you will remain bishop for when i come home? Basketball is gonna be so sweet! Thank you fo rworking so hard so i can enjoy these things. It means so much to me dad!

Training is super fun! It has really helped me grow my christ-like attributes! I have grown to love my companion and its gonna be hard saying goodbye when that time comes! I cant belive we are already about ot do skype again and Auston is already home baisically! CRAZY!!!

Anyways dad i love you so very much. thanks for being the perfect example!!!
Love,
Cole

MOM!
Thanks for the email!! haha i have just thought that i can grow the most as a missionary if things arent so "easy" it will be a challenge but i will be able to help God change a missionarys life, why would i want to do anything else? :)

I truly am loving the mission, every moment and second its a blast! This week they closed the other sector in our ward so we adopted it and now our sector is huge! Me and my companions have worked so hard we knocked every door in my last sector and it was so small i knew almost all the people so this transfer was a huge blessing! Im still in La Punta!

Man im bummed about Abby... that can be really hard, it was hard for me and i just threw in the towell. I plead that she doesent follow my example and trys again! She is so talented! Im very very very sad about Gabe and High Adventure. Some of my greatest spiritual experiences were found at high adventure, it helped me grow and face my fears! When i get home i will see if i can get him to go!

Its kind of weird but for a dedicated missionary the work is play. Hayden will understand what i mean. P-days are fun but they are also the days that its really hard to find people and teach so thats a bummer. i cant really explain it but i LOVE working!!

Anyways mom i lov eyou so much!! I will be skyping in the afternoon. but i dont know the time difference so next week i will come with the time and we will get it all figured out. Is the family doing something with the cousins? Its would be great to see them as well. and give my grandmas a happy mothers day wish!1

I Love you so much mom!!!!!!

PS.
I wanted to tell you a humbling experience i had this week. So as we were shearching for a family to accmpanie us for a famliy night we visited la familia Aponte. They are such a humble and amazing family i have grown really close to them. as we walked in we noticed something different about the dad. he is always so happy and this time he looked really stressed. He told us that the pst 3 weeks have been really hard on him and his family and they are almost broke. The church isnt really helping them as it should. he told us he doesent know what to do and doesent feel like going to church. Just to see him like that i began to cry... He told us the only thing i need is, Trabajo. but when he said that i thought the only thing he needs is the atonement. I gained a sounder knowledge for the atonement. it is referd to as a, Perfect, atonement and i never understood that until yesterday. it is sufficent to cover us and fills all gaps. AS we sat there huggging and crying together the spirirt burned like a fire! My testimony grew aton about the atonement and i know we were put in his path at that certain time for  reson! Love you dad!!

The atonement is PERFECT
