Hows everyone doing? I have alot i want to tell you guys so excuse me if i misspell some words haha
So this week we had the amazing oppurtunity to listen to David A Bednar!
He has been in peru all last week talking to different missions and we got to hear him! So the reunion was held at the CCM so i got to return and see everyone so that was cool byt yah so we me and my comp Elder Parra got lost and we needed to be there 2 hours early haha so when we found out the direction we just started sprinting and it was far away to! haha i was just laughing the whole time because people gave us the weirdest looks! we probly looked like a couple of fruitcakes out there haha. so we get there and they take our zone to like the very front! We all sing and everything is awesome then he stands up and the first thing he says is, " If you expected me to come all the way here and give a talk please think again." Haha he explained how we were just gonna have a conversation. he gave us talks to study 3 weeks ahead of time and so he had missironarys comment what they liked the most about it and then he would ask them questions! It was so amazing. he had nothing prepared. Just him and the spirit and it was amazing. He told us a ton of storys of the Apostles! He says Elder Oaks is the funniest one! haha it was a totally different side of him but then with an hour left he said were gonna deviate from this alittle cuz theres somthing i want to say,"Buckle Up." He took the next hour telling us how important our work is. It was amazing!
So people are asking about what its like here! I really do like it aton but it is just a concrete jungle! There are so many people!!! Everyone lives in appartments and here you have to have a gate like 10 feet tall and major spikes on the top so you wont get robbed. this makes contacting very hard. So we always go to this place called Surquillo. its super sketch there but its the only people that will listen to us! I will send a photo of more of what its like but people live in the most humble of circumstances. a member took us out to eat one night at this huge mall, like it was bigger then alot of
US malls. I was sick to my stomach just to see how lucky some of us are.
Anyways i love you guys! The Gospel is true! God Loves us so much!
Remember that, Stars shine the brightest in the darkest nights!
Love, Elder Noel

You sound good! Was it just your mission there that got to hear bednar? I hear he is a pretty serious guy.
from Cole
no it was us and 2 others! Stratton should have been able to see him later! But yah he seems like it but hes so funny! haha at the beginning he was talking about how when people take notes they dont understand what the speaker says and then never look at them later. if we wanted you to know exactly what we were saying we would just give you our talks! he says, THATS JUST STUPID! haha his wife stands up and says ive tried to get him to not say that! haha they were so funny! He said everyone thinks we are all so serious because of General Confernce. but do you really want apostles of the lord jesus christ cracking jokes at general confernce? It was so awesoem!
DAD!
thanks for the email. yah to be honest people dont belive this is my first sector because of how well they say i can talk. i have all to thank god for it. The gift of tongues is real. one thing that helped me pick it up so fast tho is that in PMG we read as we work our hardest and do our best the spirit will help us a ton. Ive been working so hard on the language so hard. and it shows i dont want to be pridefull because i couldnt do anything without god but i work really hard at it! but yah things are alot better here. Elder Bednar helped a ton. The gringo was really nice guy.he was sort of disrespectful and some parts taking pictures of people and other stuff but its what any gringo would do. i would have done it! Every time we laughed he thaught we were laughing at them haha every gringo thinks that! I thought that! but idk this week i just accpeted the fact that this is my ward. this is it! i love the way everything is done because this is my ward. i feel like apart of them now. like this is where i belong! they say home is where the heart is. That gives us a choice of where we want our home to be. My heart is here so so is my home. when i decided this my world changed honestly. I love you all so much. i love the valley. love my friends. love it all. but this is my home. my heart is here and where your heart is your head follows! I love you dad! GOODLUCK IN COURT. I stress about the aggies more then anything honestly. ive beenthinking about the Utah game none stop. our family has a sickness dont we? haha love you dad. keep me updated!!
