HOLA!!!!!!!! Hows everybody doing!? Thank you so much for all of your support and emails that i have recieved this week!! It has definetly been the craziest thing of my life!!! We only have an hour so im going to try to tell you guys how everything went!!!
Day 1
Well to start i flew to atlanta with a baptist and a mormon. I talked to the baptist about Jesus and then the mormon about jesus. I think im going to be talking alot about him these next few years ;) So when i got on the plane to go to lima i was seated next to these two young ladys who were so annoying haha. They were super loud and using horrible language. It was hard to concentrate with them there! I was getting all mad inside about it and totally judged them and then all the sudden one of them turned to me and asked me a super deep religous question. We talked for like the next hour on it and it was really a humbnling experince for me to never judge anyone!! So we landed in Lima and my mission presidents wife was there with like 100 bags and noone was helping her out so me and Elder Hafer went and got all her bags and helped there family get through everything. When we were waiting in line i talked to a man named Carlos Melgar. He lives in idaho and we were talking about the LDS church. He said that he really liked me and invited me to stay with his family for a week haha he really wanted to know more about the gospel because he said how happy we all were was really cool! so i got his contact info and gave it to the secratary here at the CCM. hes not in my misssion so i hope the other elders take care of him.. Oh and he was like 4 ft. 8" lol.
Then we met our mission president and he took a picture of us and texted to my mom lol we then got on a bus with all the elders and came to the CCM! (MTC) it was about 3:00 that we got into the CCM and went to sleep... I was assigned to a Trio companionship of Elder Williams and Elder Hafer. They are seriously so cool! i feel like there my brothers!!
Day 2
So then we woke up and immedietly got to work. Im so excited to learn spanish!! That night we met with the branch presidency and they interviewed us and then called me to be the District Leader. I was super overwhelmed because it was only the second day but ive been figuring things out haha. My district is so amazing. We have two other elders, Elder Barry and Elder Frahner. and then the rest are sisters!!! Every other district is like fighting and stuff but my district is so kind to eachother because we feel like a fam!
Day 3
So today at lunch i got this weird looking fruit thing called a granadaria. Its like this weird thing that you have to crack open like an egg and then crack open a softer shell after that. It straght up looks like it came from the movie avatar lol. So i was sitting with the latinos and there were telling me in spanish how to eat it so i barley knew what i they were saying haha. There were like these nasty seed things inside that i began to eat. All the latinos were llike no no no! And they were laughing super hard at me! I didnt know why until an american elder told me at dinner that if you chew the seeds it gives you diarreaha... haha it was funny when i found whyt they were all laughing haha.
Day 4
We taught our first investigator and it went so bad lol. But we went to Immagraciones and talked to some cool dudes about the church and i gave one a pamhplet on the resturation! So cool!
Day 5
So the 4th of july they made the comedor look as patriotich as they could haha they served us hamburgers and hotdogs. At least they tried haha it was more like meet and rice with a bun haha
Day 6
So i got super frustrated this day because the spanish wasent coming to me as fast as i wanted it to at all. but then later that night i asked my favourite latino elders to give me a blessing. Instanty as they took there hands off my head i felt so calm and knew that the blessing had worked. and just in time for the greatest day of my life!

Day 7
This day we went to interpol wich is baisically a makeshift place with 1,00,000,00, cats . it was so gross haha. i really wanted to place a book a libro de mormon so we stood up to go talk to a guy when out of the corner of my eye i say an older nursing asking me to come over. I walked over and immedietly starting speaking and understanding like a crazy amount of spanish. THE BLESSING HAD WORKED. her name was gladys rontes and i told her all abou the libro de mormon! She wanted us to come over so bad that night and teach her and her family but we said that we couldnt but other elders will!! So we got her info and gave it to the CCM. SHE WAS SO NICE.
Then we talked to a woman named yosefina from venuzuela! She told us that she really loved her familiy and we said how the gospel allows families to live together again she got emotional and we gave her another libro de mormon with hermana harris testimony in it! We did a dental check ( Them looking in our mouths with a flashlight) and then when i got out gladys came over and gave me her lunch..... wow... never have is felt the spirirt so strong... i was trying to say its ok but she said that she really wants me to have it. it wasent much but to herim sure that it was.... Then i waved gooodbye at yosefina and she ran over and gave me a huge hug!! haha i didnt know what to do so i just said thank you haha! We gave her info to the CCM as well! wow. just wow. Super sad to hear about President Packer. We lost one of the greatest aggies to ever walk this planet.....Ok guys well im sorry that was so long!!! I LOVE YOU ALL!!!!!!

Mom i love you so much. You are amazing. Everyone says you feel the spirit here super strong but the thing is is that to me its not much different from the spirit i feel when i am without you. I lossed my bestfriend. You! HAPPY BIRTHDAY i hope it was truly amazing! Thanks for keeping me updated on everything. Its super hard work here but with the spirit and your prayers im getting through it. I love you mom.- Thanks for the package! WEveryone was jelous haha today was our p-day and we all crammed into one small busss haha
